ANALISIS KOMPOSISI DAN STRUKTUR VEGETASI UNTUK MENENTUKAN INDEKS KEANEKARAGAMAN DI KAWASAN HUTAN KOTA PEKANBARU

The research aims to analyzed the composition and structure of vegetation to
determine the index of diversity in urban forest pekanbaru. The research is located at
Thamrin Street Pekanbaru-Riau. The urban forest has a total area of 6.1 hectares. The
research is a survey of the quadrant method and using simple random sampling technique.
The analyzed use Shanon-Wienner formula to find the value of density , frequency ,
dominance and importance value index. The results showed the forest area of Pekanbaru has
a level of tree vegetation diversity index is 2,83 which is classified in the middle criteria .
Pole vegetation diversity index is 2,24 which is classified in the middle criteria. Sapling
vegetation diversity index is 1,91 which is classified in the middle criteria. Seedling
vegetation diversity index is 2,02 which is classified in middle criteria.
